Acts 17:28, NKJV “for in Him [Christ] we live and move and have our being…”
Understanding the full importance of what it means to be a Christian requires an in-depth knowledge of one’s identity in Christ. As Christians, our access to privileges and resources of heaven is not because of anything we have done by our own strength (for by grace we are saved: Eph2:8), but by the love sacrifice of Christ.
The epistles of the New Testament are filled with revelation of what belongs to you and me as believers. They are filled with truths on what you have, by Christ, in Christ, and through Christ. I call them the “in-Christ realities”. These truths are descriptive of the Perfect Son (Jesus), and they represent what His redemptive work has accomplished for you. To reach full maturity in Christ you must have a complete knowledge of these realities of redemption. It takes the Holy Spirit building them into your heart for you to grow to the image of the Perfect Son.
If you ever sought for an effective way to study your Bible, here’s one. Read through the New Testament and look for in-Christ realities and mark them. Accept them by faith as your present reality. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you build them into your consciousness. Declare them boldly in your life. Praise God continually for them because they reveal to you how God sees you.
