“… Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful”…” Genesis 1:28
The mandate given Adam after God pronounced the blessing upon him was to be fruitful. This means to produce abundantly. God expected that by the blessing Adam’s productivity in his place of assignment be profuse, and it is the same today. The blessing of the Lord is an empowerment from God that will cause you to be more productive in your assignment. Rather than toil (hard labor), one can apply consistent wisdom, skill and ability and the blessing will cause productivity on a level that cannot be matched by laborious work.
God is the source of the blessing, and by faith we can receive the blessing manifestation in every area of work. Every man in Christ Jesus has been blessed (Eph.1:3), however faith is the igniter that provokes the manifestations of the blessings in life. You have to think upon the blessing, the productivity that comes by the blessing, you have to maintain your position on the blessing, and keep talking about the blessing as your empowerment for success. In doing this you will be attracting the forces of the blessing to be at work for you.
Proverbs 14:2 reveals that “In all labor there is profit“. In essence naturally speaking (i.e. in common sense terms), your productivity is proportional to the amount of exertion in one’s purpose. The blessing however is a multiplier, as you apply yourself diligently to work, expect the blessing to cause you to be fruitful. Expect and abundance of result that will surpass your input.
