Genesis 1: 26,28 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over [all]… Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over [all]””
The blessing upon man is that empowerment by God to excel in the area of calling. Like God blessed Adam in the Garden for the fulfillment of the dominion mandate (be fruitful, multiply; fill the earth and subdue it), God blessed Abraham with the call (Genesis 12:1-3). With the call on Abraham’s life came the promise of wealth and greatness. It’s the blessing that was responsible for taking Abraham from obscurity to greatness. It is important to understand that the blessing is even stronger now in Christ Jesus. It’s the blessing that brought about full expression for the ministry of Jesus. Ephesians 1:3 says that in Christ Jesus we are blessed with every spiritual blessing. Progressively from Abraham up to until Jesus, the power of the blessing became stronger and stronger.
For everyone in Christ Jesus there is a potential for influence and greatness. It’s time for you to awaken to this reality. Begin to see yourself as great.
“… if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth” Deuteronomy 28:1
In Deuteronomy 28:1 God teaches us how to rise to the place of greatness, and it is by diligence in obedience to God’s Word. The Bible is a practical book on accomplishing great feats in life. As you find out what the Word says in various areas of your life, begin to commit yourself to practicing the Word and you will begin to see yourself rise in influence.
