Genesis 1: 26 NKJV “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over [all]… Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over [all]””
The word dominion as seen here means authority, rule, management, and charge. In essence Adam was given charge over all his environment. The blessing of the Lord is the empowerment for dominion. The blessing is an anointing that sets spiritual forces in motion for you to be in control over your circumstances.
It was never intended that situations be beyond the control of man. Even in circumstances where there is an apparent limitation. The force of the blessing still empowers one to exercise dominion. In Genesis 12 God called Abraham and blessed him. One of the covenants associated with this call was “I will make your great”. The blessing was this empowerment. In Genesis 14, Lot was taken captive in a battle of the kings against Sodom. However We witness something spectacular in verse 14 “Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan”. Abraham took three hundred and eighteen servants of his household to recover what had been taken by five kings. This was the blessing in manifestation. This was not a circumstance beyond his control. He knew he had the blessing at work in his favor so he could exercise dominion.
Don’t let situations control you. Quit talking about circumstances beyond your control, but rather confess the blessing. Acknowledge the blessing over your life, giving you the ability to have dominion. You can be in charge as you walk in the consciousness of the blessing. You have been blessed to live in dominion in your world!
