Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ”
The blessing of the Lord is that empowerment by God that puts one in full supply of every need without toiling (Prov.10:22). This was the force of creation. We see that in Genesis 1, God blessed every living creature He created. In Genesis 1:28, God blessed mankind and gave a mandate of “be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue and have dominion”.
Adam was empowered by the blessing for this dominion mandate. Likewise we that are in Christ have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. We have all the empowerment needed to live a fruitful life. The blessing brings about sweat less victory in life. This is no indication that you won’t work, but to be blessed is to be diligent in your work. Diligence speaks of consistent application of oneself to a task.
In your day to day duties, do you factor in the power of the blessing or do you go through the day trying to figure everything out? It takes a consciousness and confidence in the blessing to prosper in the midst of adverse circumstances. Take Isaac in Genesis 26:12, the Bible records that Isaac sowed in that land [where there was famine], and reaped in the same year a hundredfold”
