You may have had a runaway father, or a father who never supported you, or gave you rights to his access and authority, but this does not define God’s fatherhood. He is the author of fatherhood, and His is born out of love. It’s love that goes beyond natural comprehension. It is love that is divine.

In your devotion, spend time in the New Testament epistles, as they unveil these realities to you. Highlight every place you find statements such as “in Christ”, “in Him”, “through whom” and the likes. Make these your daily confession, as you acknowledge them, they become your realities, because they represent what Christ died for to make real to you.
