You may have had a runaway father, or a father who never supported you, or gave you rights to his access and authority, but this does not define God’s fatherhood. He is the author of fatherhood, and His is born out of love. It’s love that goes beyond natural comprehension. It is love that is divine.

The fruit of our lives as children of God is in our demonstration of the love of God that’s within us. Primarily this should be the yardstick for measuring our spiritual growth because as we grow in love we are becoming more like Him, for God is love.
I’m so glad that the Lord is not afraid of my tears, anger, cold heart, frets, and unbelief. To this day, He is still showing me that He is much better. He often reminds me of this at the deliverance of things I have asked Him for in prayer; my exact words to Him will come to mind.
