Psalm 67:5-6 NKJV “Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.”
It is no mystery that in life we face opposition from dark forces, however these forces are no match for us in Christ Jesus. The Bible teaches that Jesus in His resurrection defeated the forces of hell that laid a charge against us, He dethroned principalities and powers that once had the power to rule over us. Jesus after defeating these demon spirits then went ahead to make a public spiritual disgrace of them (See Col. 2:14-15).
Despite this truth, these fallen spirits still attempt to put up a fight against God elect; situations rise up against you that have no logical explanation, people around you begin to mistreat and cheat you, persecutions rise against you etc. These ought not be a surprise because Scriptures make us understand that the devil is a lawless one; despite the fact that he has no legal authority over you and your life, he still seeks to take advantage of the ignorant. Jesus in a farewell bid to His disciples said in John 16:33, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”.
As always, the Words of Jesus spell victory for the believing Christian. This means we can praise and rejoice about our victory in Christ Jesus. While it is expected that you must exercise your authority in Christ Jesus (through the use of His Name), praise can also be employed as a weapon in executing God’s vengeance against the forces of darkness that trouble you. Meditate on your victory in Christ Jesus, and put the praises of God in your mouth. This is what you do to turn adversity into victories!
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
7 To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
8 To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute on them the written judgment—
This honor have all His saints.
