Psalm 67:5-6 “Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.”
While understanding the power of praise, we must understand that praise pulls down the walls of containment and opposition in our lives. Your praise is a spiritual weapon of warfare against the forces that stand against your destiny. We see a picture of this in the children of Israel taking the city of Jericho. The story starts out with saying “Jericho was securely shut up…none went out, and none came in.”Joshua 6:1. God had promised Israel the walled city of Jericho. What are the things you know God has promised you in accordance with His word? The fact that they have been given to you doesn’t mean there won’t be any opposition against you, but there is a weapon in praised.
Firstly you have to look intently at the promise until it is unveiled “And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” (Joshua 6:2). Next you go ahead in given God praise! This is a strategy for laying hold of God’s promises forcefully in our life. It will required violent heartfelt praises to God in the midst of seemingly impossible situations.
“It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.” (Joshua 6:5-6)
