Existence of human being is based on some important things. Undoubtedly human beings are created for fellowship that is why relationships are important for their existence. Through relationships, we are able to grow and develop. Relationships through fellowship contribute to success as future plans are being set.
Creating strong relationships is important. When a person develops relationships, there may be misunderstandings and mistakes. However working through misunderstandings is vital to the growth of the individual and relationship. Jesus in His teaching said “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” The key to healthy fellowship is the love of God in the heart of the Christian. The elements of this love are described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. The Message Bible gives a beautiful rendering of what this love means:
Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, doesn’t have a swelled head, doesn’t force itself on others, isn’t always “me first,” doesn’t fly off the handle, doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, doesn’t revel when others grovel, takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, puts up with anything, trusts God always, always looks for the best, never looks back, but keeps going to the end.
Even in strong relationships a little confusion or misunderstanding can turn out bad if not handled properly. This is why dealing with each other based on the love of God; being understanding and forgiving is the best way (Colossians 3:12-14).
To live a Christian life requires devotion, like the apostle Paul explains, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me” (Gal. 2:20).
Your life will radiate the light and love of God as you life in faith depending on God. When you do every demand upon you is a demand upon the Christ who lives in your heart by His Spirit.
There is the constant need for the believer to abide in Christ. Has Christ become your place of refuge? Do you return to Him repeatedly? Have you made it a habit to dwell in His presence through faith in Him, the reading of His Word, through repentance and repeated filling of His Spirit, through love and obedience to His Word as a vital witness of His saving grace?
Living the Christian life is about growing in fellowship with God and with one another. We grow in fellowship with God through prayer, worship and meditating on Scriptures. We increase in our fellowship with others by forgiving people who have wronged us, and loving with the love of God. Living the Christian life is about thinking beyond the things of this world and being fully devoted to the kingdom of God. God suffered with punishment for sins that we might have life through Jesus (John 3:16). It is about strengthening others with this eternal life in our heart, inspiring others, sharing His love and ultimately living eternally with God in Glory.
