1 Chronicles 14:11 NIV “So David and his men went up to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, “As waters break out, God has broken out against my enemies by my hand.” So that place was called Baal Perazim”
Scripture reveals that the believing Christian is anointed of God, and that He has given us His Holy Spirit as a guarantor (2 Cor.1:21). This anointing upon the life of the believer is not a guarantee that life will be a walk through the park, without any problems, rather it’s a guarantee that no matter what challenge you are faced with, victory is certain.
Too often when we encounter difficult situations in life, we begin to question our stand before God, our spirituality and our faith. This is exactly where the devil needs you to be for you to be defeated. Your faith is predicated on your sense of right standing before God (righteousness-Rom.5:1). God expects that we lean on Him, trust Him and rely on Him completely, on the basis of His Word. When you’re in a difficult place, it’s the time for you to experience God’s manifestation in your life.
When David was anointed king by Samuel, the philistines heard of this and immediately went in search of him. When they did not find him, they raided his fort. David returned to find the whole town in ruins. Because David had complete trust in God, he inquired of the Lord, and the Lord gave him the green light to attack (1 Chron.14:8-10). Your victory is dependent on your faith in God and His Word. When faced with a challenge, don’t take up the position of the victim. You have been anointed of God, and victory is certain. By the anointing, the yoke of the enemy will not fit, neither will the burden be on your shoulder (Isa.10:27). Go in search of what the Word says concerning your particular situation. Meditate on that Word until you have a green light in your spirit, and then attack.
David’s breakthrough came by his own hands. Likewise God will use you to bring about the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for, because you are His champion against all evil.
