Colossians 1:7 NIV “You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf”
The apostle Paul in his letter to the Colossians makes mention of a faithful minister, Epaphras. Other than this mention we do not know much about him. But we know that he was worthy of being called out in the letter to the churches of Colosse. The other mention we have of him is in Colossians 4:12-13, “Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. 13 I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis.”
What can be said concerning our service in the kingdom of God? Will it be a testimony of diligence and faithfulness or one that keeps on demanding what can be done for me. Many people today are looking for what they can benefit from church and failing to realize that there is a vital portion that involves service in church. We all need to be making vital contributions for the growth and development of the body. We all are called to a ministry through which Christ blesses the other. We experience the fullness of the anointing as we carry each others burden’s in service to the Lord (Gal.6:2).
What’s your contribution to the body? What will your testimony of service be?
