Matthew 6:25 NKJV “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life…”
Did you know that nothing ever comes to being by focusing on its opposite? You don’t have good health by focusing on the disease; neither do you get wealth by focusing on poverty. Worry is an uneasy feeling that comes when there is no foreseeable solution to ananticipated problem. Most people worry over problems that have not yet materialized. But you must know that worry is contrary to the word of God.
There’s a law of attraction that says that we become/attract what we focus on. When you worry you are focusing on possibilities of disaster, and you can expect that the disaster will show up. This is why “champion worriers” say “I knew that would happen…” They judge they were right in worrying, but could their worry have affected their response to the circumstance they faced, thereby being a direct cause? Notice what Job said concerning his plight, “…the thing that I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me” (Job 3:25).
God’s instruction to you is “do not worry about your life…” Do the following to eliminate worry from your life: 1) Have a plan for the current events of your life, as well as a plan for the future. 2) Constantly commit your plans and concerns to God, trusting Him for the wisdom and grace to follow through on your commitments. 3) Refuse to nurse negative thoughts. 4) Choose not to worry, rather fix your mind on thoughts that are lovely, beautiful, full of hope, praise worthy and encouraging. Do all you can, commit the rest to God, and be sure to enjoy your life.
