Dominate Your World (6)
Matthew 16:19 NKJV “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
In order to live a successful Christian life, you must know that there is more to what meets the eye. There exist spiritual forces of darkness that will make every attempt to keep you under their control. The Bible in Ephesians 6:12 describe them as principalities, powers, and wicked spirits. These demon spirits are out to afflict, provoke and resist the children of God, on the journey to fulfill destiny. However Jesus has given us a guarantee of victory by His Name. He said, “…in this world you will face tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Notice what Jesus said in Luke 11:21-22, “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.”
This couple of verses suggests that there is a demon spirit called a strong man that keeps watch over some kind of spiritual storehouse. I would imagine this to be one of the store houses containing abundant spiritual resources that God created to meet the needs of humanity. When Adam sinned, he turned over the authority over the earth to Satan. That is why he is called the “god of this world”.
Jesus through His death and resurrection defeated the devil and took back the authority and dominion from the devil, but we as believers have the responsibility to enforce this victory. You must begin to enforce your authority and place a demand on these storehouses by binding demonic spirits by the use of the name of Jesus. You can open doors of opportunities, favor and blessings by the use of the Name of Jesus. It is your responsibility to confront the forces of darkness, and keep demon spirits at bay through the use of the Name of Jesus.
