Daniel 6:3 NIV “Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.”
In Babylon, a Jew (one having covenant with God) rose to be the person of prominence. Daniel was taken as a slave to serve in the king’s presence from Judah. He successfully served through three administrations because of the excellent spirit in him. He was seen to be extraordinary at his work. He delivered above and beyond what was required of him every time.
Scripture notes that he was taken out of Judah because he was considered fit and well learned to serve before the king (Dan.1:3-4). The principle here is this; you must strive within your own might to be as good as the best person in the world. That is what it means to be extraordinary. No matter what field you’re in, do all you can to be known as the best. God’s Spirit is within you, and His grace abounds towards you. It is by His Spirit you can be extraordinary in everything you do. The limitations you face are only illusions because you are not operating in the realm of the flesh. There is a spiritual realm that you operate in by faith and obedience to the leading of God’s spirit.
Daniel’s fame spread abroad, it was said that the spirit of God was in him, and light, understanding and superior wisdom were found in him (Dan.5:14). Wherever it is you find yourself serving, be sure to deliver beyond what is required of you. Make a commitment to be extraordinary. Let your results be one of top notch quality, and in so doing you will distinguish yourself above all others.
