Be a Problem Solver
2 Corinthians 1:21, NIV “…He anointed us”
The anointing of God is the rubbing of certain qualities of God on an individual. It is God who anoints, and the anointing serves one purpose, which is to solve humanity’s problems. Jesus the Anointed Son, in Luke 4:18, announced in the hearing of all that He was anointed. He then went on to state the purpose of the anointing, which was to preach the good news to the poor, bind the broken hearted, proclaim freedom to those bound, sight to the blind and freedom to the oppressed. All the problems humanity faces fall into these categories, both literally and figuratively.
2 Corinthians 1:21 lets us know that we being the body of Christ, are also anointed. This means that you and I are empowered by God’s Holy Spirit to solve problems in the lives of people. To be anointed does not mean going around trying to get people to dramatize some hysteric manifestation. What good is jumping, screaming and rolling on the floor if lives are not changed for good? Your purpose as God’s anointed is to look for problems around you and trust God for solutions.
While you pray for God’s empowerment, always remember that the anointing was never meant to be contained, but to be poured out on all. If you want to experience more of God’s power in your life (and see real manifestations of the anointing), look for problems in the lives of others to solve, and take a bold step in solving them because you are anointed!
